Thomasian Nihon Kyoukai General Assembly 1 A.Y. 13-14
July 23, 2013
The first event for this academic year, The Thomasian Nihon Kyoukai General Assembly 1 entitled : "THE FIRST STEP: SEASON OF BEGINNINGS" , held on July 22, 2013, 3pm - 7pm, at the Beato Angelico AVR (3rd floor, College of Fine Arts & Design, College of Architecture Building). Each one of them brought a memorablia (something that reminds their love for Japan).
The event was a huge success- all had fun and learn something different and new. Games, trivia and conversations entertained the members who attended the G.A. 1. Inspirational messages from former president give his shot and make EVERY MEMBER PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF TNK.
Emcees are in Japanese traditional clothing by MiyokoLouisse.

SHAMU our House Samurai
Because my Ningyo Showa( I named him Shamu) doesn't have a helmet and my father told me about his impression on him - "He doesn't look like a samurai at all." So that's why I make a helmet for him made out of carton box of ginseng tea we usually drink every morning, or sometimes I order in shops. Now, he looks like a Samurai full of guts. What can my father say?
Proposed MIYOKOLOUISSE Boutique Design and Concept
The PROPOSED MIYOKOLOUISSE BOUTIQUE DESIGN AND CONCEPT is designed by AL_Arkitektura Inc. The Boutique design impose Japanese Architectural ubiquitous elements such as Shoji, Tatami and Bamboo. Display of Kimono is also a feature of the design seen thru the outside by its curtain wall. Along with the design, the dressing of the kimono visible from the outside is a great display for the public that will catch attention and interest to Japanese Traditional Clothing. But if the client wants privacy, a shutter is a choice to hide them while dressing.
